The broadcast media in Zambia remained unregulated until the enactment of the IBA Act in 2010 and operationalization of IBA in 2012. Some immediate challenges included the development of standards (codes, guidelines, and regulations) to promote ethical broadcasting, appropriate categorisation of licensees, as well as the urgent need to enhance information flow for stakeholders to appreciate the IBA mandate.

Initiated drafting and led execution of an MoU between IBA and the Zambia Association of Musicians, with the primary purpose of ensuring musical content was vetted at source.
Conceptualized and promoted the implementation of station-sponsored “right to complain” campaigns.
Abridged, simplified, and adapted the consumer complaints procedure for the various platforms
Instigated and led formulation of the IBA’s inaugural Communications Strategy

Worked on the Zambia aspect of The Bear Project Progress and Achievements, 2016. The Report was particularly important for the launch of the Better Education for Africa’s Rise II (BEAR II), which was to be implemented over five years from 2017 to 2021 in five Eastern African countries, based on knowledge and experience drawn from the first BEAR project.
Working with the lead consultant for Zambia, I documented stories in relation to the impact of the project on intended beneficiaries from the project area in Mazabuka (Nega-Nega) vis-à-vis project goal for Zambia.
This also included cataloguing lessons learned and visual. demonstration by way of quality pictures for the Report.
